What is a Fill the Freezer event?
This is a privately hosted event, funded by WE Unite. Anyone in our community is able to apply to be our next host!
Throughout each year, WE Unite provides support to families in our community. Often, this support is delivering home cooked meals to loved ones that are experiencing loss or are in times of crisis.
WE are proud to have some of the most dedicated volunteers in Simcoe County facilitating these meal trains. However, on occasion there is an urgent timeline or request for “freezable meals” for flexibility. Enter; Fill the Freezer!
The meals that are prepared at these cooking socials are stored in our WE Freezer & distributed to our community members in need.
