Throughout each year, WE Unite provides support to families in our community. Often, this support is delivering home cooked meals to loved ones that are experiencing loss or are in times of crisis.
On occasion, there is an urgent timeline or request for “freezer meals”. To accommodate this need WE are rolling out the Fill the Freezer initiative in 2024.
You decide to support our cause and “Host” a Fill the Freezer either in your home or another approved location.
Choose your preferred date for the event.
Select your attendees; 8-12 of your friends/family/colleagues to join in your cooking social.
Select your recipe; WE have a few of our favourites to choose from.
That said, if you or someone in your group has a recipe that is scalable and freezer-friendly, WE would love to try it!
Once your date, attendees & recipe are confirmed, WE will provide you with an e-invite including all the details.
On the day of your event, WE will deliver the ingredients, packaging supplies and instructions to get the job done!
Enjoy the company of family & friends while you make a difference in your community. We hope this night fills your cup as much as it fills our freezer! Expect to make between 10-20 meals in the span of 2 hours.
One of our volunteers will pick up your packaged meals at a predetermined day/time. (Usually the next day)
